Man, I've been rooting for the guy since the story broke after Thanksgiving.

The Beginning Begins Again Again

Anyone who knows me and knows me well knows what I'm talking about when I say:

I finished it. Chapter 1.

It's down, it's rough, and it's finally the opener I was looking for. After hiccupping, restarting, anguishing, and finally thinking I'd never find my opener literally twenty to thirty times, I found it in an old man's goodbye and a lover's lament.

Everything steam-rolls from here.

Just in time for NaNoWriMo, too.

Greg's Dictionary: awkward

Introducing 'Greg's Dictionary':

Awkward. Awk-ward –adjective

1. Watching a movie with your grandmother when a provocative adult scene you would otherwise be aroused by due to the fact you forgot that scene was in the movie when you previously watched it comes onto the screen and goes on for longer than you remembered.

Our New Family

http://ava.grio.net/. You need a password to get in. If you would like the password, I can presume that you know how to get ahold of us. Some of you may already have the password in your inbox; for those with email addresses that I (Greg) don't have in my Address Book, you know the avenues to get ahold of myself or Erin, or the people who can. I'm keeping the photos between family and friends; the image above is for posterity.

The ride on the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. I will be dropping another higher-quality version later today. Enjoy! Edit: Higher quality download available here. Right-click on the link, click "Save As..." and save the file to the desktop. Be patient; the file is 107MB large. Should take an hour or so to download. Enjoy!

John Belushi RIP

Another little tidbit from the island. That's James (AKA Kramer, if you've ever heard me talk about him. He shot the wedding and provided some of the excellent pics you see below and later on. Carl took the picture. Enjoy.

Time Flies When You're on the Run

Has it really been more than a month since I updated you all with some information?

Gosh.

Where does the time go? Well let's get this party started right:

Speaking of parties, had me a 25th Birthday this last August 31st. You people are awesome with the gifts and the cards. I'd have to say it's been one of my better birthdays. Carl got me this awesome watch, Mom finally repented in the form of an RC car; Erin's Dad was generous to us; Not sure if it was birthday-oriented or not, but a large gift was generously bestowed upon us that will be most helpful in the future. We went to Kiku Steakhouse in Topeka for dinner. The connecting picture should speak volumes about the event. There was a whole 6 people in the room I was in when they took the picture, and that includes Erin, Me, The dude holding the giant folding decoration behind me, and two employees who were eating dinner at another table. They sang some cheesy Happy Birthday, complete with banging gong.

I ate it up.

Mary came down a week before and suprised me. She was down helping Dad with his taxes and wanted to be here for my birthday, as she missed last years'. It was a good visit. I was glad to have her here.

You're probably looking for a baby shower thank you by now. There WILL be one, we just need to finish the video. I'm including a teaser here tomorrow-ish (AKA, probably this weekend) so you can see I truly DO have footage, I just have to finish the final product. For those that know me, this can sometimes be tedious for me, so bear with.

Erin's about to pop. Looking forward to finally meeting the mysterious and vaporous Ava Claire. Everyone keeps talking about her, but I'm not sure she really exists. Somewhere in the next two-three weeks I get to meet this Ava person. I hope she's as cool as everyone makes her out to be.

Went to for Martha's Vineyard for Julie's (Carl's sister) wedding. Zoom out on that link to get a better idea as to where I was at. I know that's not exactly grammaticallyt correct, but I'm in a hurry to get this updated and get it ou to ya'lls. Amazing, amazing place. I'll let the pictures and video I'll put up in the coming days do the talking. I'm pretty sure I fell in love with the place, but I didn't realize it until she was gone. I would like to find my way back. When I was there, it was as if in a dream. I woke up and only have residual memories of something wonderful. I was also exposed to kayaking, and I'll never be the same for it. I've found my sport. I've not looked into the purchase of one, but I can only imagine the cost to be exorbidant. I'd like to find a means to getting on a body of water and really giving it my all.

There will be updates here in the very near future. I need to get some laundry done, and some stuff eBay'ed, but then I'll be back to import, organize, and post some pictures from all the excitement.

Love you all. Look forward to seeing some or all of you in the coming weeks.

Some Videos For Your Laugh-Out-Loud Pleasure

Everything here is PG-13 or less.

Tunak Tunak Tun: This is India's Michael Jackson with a lot less pedophilia and a lot more Jesus Juice...

Yatta! - Oh yes. Yatta. Who could ever forget Yatta! Everybody say alright!

Videos

Noticed I hadn't updated any this week.

First off: you people are amazing. Thank you so much. I'll go into more detail in my next or subsequent posts. I'm overwhelmed. Thank you all so much.

Secondly, I'm going video-editing crazy. I'll have video for you soon of everything that went on this last weekend. Gotta get some time and creativity under the ol' belt.

Love you all, talk to you all soon.

Tuesday, July 25, 2006

I realized last night that I hadn't kept people in the know for a while now, so I thought I'd better get updating. Since there's not a whole lot to discuss at this point, I figured I'd give an itinerary for the coming month or so.

- Right now: Concentrating on getting packed and getting stuff boxed up and ready to go. Have so many things to make sure are all in order I don't care to list them again here. I'm sore already from moving and hoisting and running around. Still have another week of it to go.

- July 29th - Derek Richards' Bachelor Party - God help me, especially in light of...

- July 30th - Big group roommate house-cleaning. 4 guys, one house, a couple of hours. Voila. Done and ready for inspection that Monday.

- July 31st - Pat checks out of the old house at noon. Off work that day. Hopefully we'll have our keys for the new place by then, and can be moving stuff in. Probably will be late that evening that we get to start moving stuff. Fortunately, we're on the middle floor with no stairs in the apt building.

- August 1st - Full-on move-in action. Off work today as well. Mary will be getting into town for the shower as well, and will be over and helping with the unpack. Hopefully my staging plans will work out so that it will be a smooth transition into the new place.

- August 2nd & 3rd - Situate, arrange, and unpack. Probably some visiting with Mary in the mean time. Erin won't have to work anywhere anymore, so she'll be pregnant, bored, and alone at the house. I suspect dinner will be ready at 7:30 sharp. Getting the house ready for family for the shower. Mom, Granny and Crew will be beaching themselves in our free space on the floor and couch.

- August 4th - All the family to dinner the night before the shower. Ever seen About Schmidt?

- August 5th - Baby Shower - 2PM Saturday at the Train Depot. Food, fun, and piles of baby stuff. Hooray storage.

- August 6th - Family disperse. I don't exactly know how this is going to go, actually. This is a play-it-by ear kind of thing, I'm guessing.

- Mid August - Erin leaves me for a week to see Lea and her family. Hot Pockets of the world should run for their collective lives.

- August 17th, 18th & 19th - House guest in the form of Carl Stunkel. He'll be back to grace us plebians with his presence to help in Derek and Cory's wedding.

- August 21st - School starts, and Erin begins what should be her last year of her Bachelor's Degree in Education.

- August 31st - My birthday. I don't know what the plan is, but it's the final birthday *I* get to look forward to. Now it truly is just downhill from here.

- September 6th - Leave town here at 7; get to Tristan's about 9. Sleep for a few hours.

- September 7th - I have to be at KCI at 4AM to check in. Flight leaves at 6AM off Northwestern to the East Coast. A connection in Ohio, and I'll be on the island at Martha's Vineyard by 11AM.

- September 8th-9th - Preparations for Glenn and Julie's wedding. I'll be go'fer and bartender.

- September 10th - 12:01AM - Free man to do what I want for the rest of the time there

- September 11th - I'll be on a plane leaving the East Coast on the 5-year anniversary of the World Trade Center towers dropping.

- All of September - Hoping Erin doesn't pop while attending birthing and breast feeding classes.

- October 2nd - If you don't know this, you're obviously not paying attention.

- The rest of my life - Getting used to being called "Dad". Having a whole new set of birthdays to look forward to.

Hope you're all well. We'll see you all soon.

Brighid's new baby

our new baby
our new baby,
originally uploaded by howhowlz.
My sister, never to be outdone, has decided to one-up me with aquisition of a new two week old baby kitten. Her name was preliminarily Murder (yeah, it's my sister, what can I say?), but they've since realized their haste in such a...recalitrant... name and are considering something more befitting a kitten rejected by her mother two days after birth.

My best to you, fair kitten. You're in good hands.

Zen, The Salty Dog

...except that he's a cat...

[18:13] trippstorm: oh... second funny story... so Zen has got 8 lives left and he has gained the rank of salty, salty sailor....
[18:13] thegrio: pray tell...
[18:14] trippstorm: I'll tell you the quick version now, and the extended one later...
[18:14] trippstorm: he followed me to the kayak launch spot, and I told him that if he did that, I was gonna teach his furry ass a lesson and take him kayaking...
[18:14] thegrio: ahahaha
[18:15] trippstorm: so he did, and I did... and he was enjoying himself, looking out of the kayak, and sitting on my lap...
[18:15] thegrio: then the kayak rolled...
[18:15] trippstorm: I paddled into the local harbor, got caught in a swift current, got pinned against a skiff, started to get sucked under, then the kayak flipped, I grabbed for Zen, missed him and went under... came up, he was gone...
[18:16] trippstorm: found him two hours later UNDERNEATH THE DOCK on a pile of stones...
[18:16] thegrio: wow
[18:16] trippstorm: he had gotten sucked under a 27 foot yacht, and somehow found his way to dry land...
[18:16] trippstorm: so... salty, salty sailor... 8 lives.
[18:16] thegrio: Yup
[18:16] trippstorm: *whew*
[18:17] thegrio: 8 to go. =)
[18:17] trippstorm: anyhow, I'll give you more details later... peace out
[18:17] thegrio: sounds good. Have fun.

Jon Sends His Love

Jon's out, playing Army all summer in Northern Washington State. He was supposed to be back sometime next week, though running into Frank at Target (his Dad) revealed he may be gone until late Sept.

Well, either way, a small note to say he's alive and well, and blowin' schtuff up all in the name of God, Liberty, and The Persuit of Happiness.

Or, you know, just an excuse to blow things up and learn new and interesting ways of killing people.

What ever settles better with your nightcap.

Goodnight.

That being said, back to trying to get Blogger to post my camera phone pictures.

Why?

I don't understand.

Why does Anti-Semitism exit? How was Israel formed? Why do Arabs so despise the people who are living on that little strip of land? Why does the US give such support to the Israelis? Is there something we can do to stop this landslide of anger that will sink us into another war of global proportions? What's it like to live in an area where you or your family could be killed at any moment from hatred? Why would any one group of people live to tolerate this? Why? Why? Why?

Israel apparently carpet-bombed Lebanon today, disabling Beirut and killing an estimated 120 people in the process. Everyone but our country condemned the action. Times like these make me upset to be an American; fat, happy, overfed, living in my luxury and my sin, enjoying the freedoms that living in Rome can afford me. At the same time, I can't begin to imagine life where I worry that at a stop light gunmen will run up to my vehicle, drag me out, and shoot me and my family in the head in broad daylight, and get away with it. These are fears, that as an American, I don't have to worry about. Our men and women are out there defending those freedoms I take for granted every day. They're operating behind the scenes, working for me, the fat, complacent writer. What do I do? Hate the freedom I've been so lucky to be afforded, yet cling to it like a lifejacket if it was ever taken from me? Speak angrily at the leader of my country while failing to recognize that I've been given that right to do so only by the blood, sweat and tears of people whom I'll never meet? I hate being an American, or iconosizing what Americans are, yet I can't imagine being anything else. Does someone in France hate being French because their government is the world's wuss who gets beat up? Do they care? Is there a man in the Arab world who hates being of Arabic descent because of the actions of Zarquari? What about these foreign presidents? Don't they realize that all this escalation is exactly what the terrorist movements want? How do we appease these people and stop the death and dying? We all bleed the same blood, but we just look different on the surface...

I'm getting impassioned and loosing reason as I type. Anger and emotion are getting the best of me. I hate not understanding the fight that may drag us all in. I wish I knew more about why things are happening the way they are. Hell, bin Laden was financed and trained by the US in the '80s, only to attack us in the two decades. Why?

I was getting really upset about this at work, but I couldn't find the answers I needed, so I went outside and took a breather. I was graced by something bigger than me to find peace in a simple little family of birds. Quick thinking allowed me to snap a picture off. They apparently grew up in a nest on the telephone pole, and apparently had just hatched. These files may take a moment to load, but here it is, my moment of Zen:

Me, You, Classic Pooh, and Ava Too

Erin's going to kill me for this, but it's the only thing I really care about in the whole nursery.

Classic Pooh. Has simple charm, mellow colors, and the huggable, lovable, honey-bear Pooh.

Erin's not a fan; I LOVE this stuff. So, anything you want to get concering Classic Pooh, I promote whole-heartedly.

4th of July at Lake Elbo

I love this picture. And to think we were 50 yards from that. We were sitting on the dock where this picture was taken. The owner of the business I work for was the one shooting these off. Every year he goes to a training session for firing commercial fireworks. Each year the Lake Elbo community drops about $4k on the festivities that last about 20-30 minutes. And, amusingly, another 5 when they find the explosives that didn't go off. That was the second year I had been out there, each year, chillin' on Jim's dock, having the cardboard casings from the fireworks landing on us. Hope we can keep up the tradition for a while.

Cribbin'

The crib a coworker was generous enough to let us borrow for a couple of months.

Baby Registries

There is some apparent confusion about the baby registries at Walmart and Target. I'm not sure why they're not coming up when you're at the store, but if you want to print out the tops or the first page and take them to the store, I'm sure the barcodes should find what you're looking for.

Otherwise, I'll be setting something up in the next few days to make life all sorts of easier pertaining to the baby shower. I'll make the announcement once things are in place.

In the mean time, here are the registries, which will be modified here shortly:

TTFN!

I Am My Father's Son (?)

Dad and I had a good conversation the other night; something like 3 hours worth of discussion about his life starting from about 1972 until about '84. Another item of interest was his relationship with my Mom, which I'm not going to go into here, but we jokingly laughed that Dad wasn't my Dad. Whaddaya think?

Edit: I just realized two things: One, these pictures aren't at a high enough resolution to really judge, as well as being too dark. Also, I don't have a pic of Mom up that could be compared against. I'll get something up to run by folks. =)

Ecto

Listening to: Cant Get You Out Of My Head from the album "Cant Get You Out Of My Head" by Kylie Minogue
I've finally discovered the software I was looking for. It's called Ecto, and it appears to be everything I was hoping for and more in blogging software. I can insert photos, what I'm listening to from iTunes, what book or movie I'm watching from Amazon, and do a number of other features that I knew could be done, but I didn't have the resources to take advantage of.

And now, I do.

Number of things to do tonight. Stop by Jayson's, grab the camera, stop into Rockabelly's and grab my hummus and summer beer. Then off to O'Malley's, Fat's, and home just in time to feed my babies. Jon's off in training, and I'm stuck here to do Wednesday nights on my own, so I'm going to take some pictures of our Wednesday night shenanigans, sans my drinkin' buddy, and send them off to him so he remembers what he's fighting for. That, and to make him viciously jealous. Definitely moreso the latter, as I get to sip on my Summer Beer while he plays in the mud.

Hmmm, Wonder where I'd rather be?

What File Extension Are You?

Yeah.

I'm a big dork. I know.

You are .exe When given proper orders, you execute them flawlessly. You're familiar to most, and useful to all.
Which File Extension are You?

Happy Superman Returns Day! (A Day Early)

This is a super-special edition (no pun intended) of my little corner of the Information Superhighway (ok, maybe a *little* pun intended).

Ever since I saw Lois and Clark with Dean Cain and that smoldering hot woman from Desperate Housewives, I was a Superman fan.

Tonight, 19 years after the last Superman movie with Christopher Reeves, after 3 script re-writes, 3 different directors, Nicholas Cage's influence on the Superman world, the director of X-Men bailing out of X-3 to direct this movie, and casting a man who's "package" was the cause of much concern, Superman Returns!

After watching all the trailers, the 2-minute free download from iTunes, and generally being a massive Smallville fan, I have to say that tonight had better be the culmination of a whole Summer's worth of entertainment, because quite frankly, the movie world this summer has been less than fulfilling.

The movie doesn't open technically until Wednesday. We have 10 o'clock tickets for tonight. 3 hours and counting...

She's Officially A Girl

Everyone say hello again to Ms. Ava Claire Thomas-Baldwin, 6 months and 1lb 13oz. Well on her way to joining us here in the air. A quick check again, and she's definitely female.

I'm going to end up hitting someone with a baseball bat in my lifetime.

I'm looking forward to it. No. Really.

How to Fileshare between Two Windows XP Pro Computers

Make sure they are both hooked up to the router. No-duh, I know, but let's keep it simple for the simpletons.

First, the computer you have the data on:

1. Right-click on My Computer.

2. Click on Properties.

3. Click on Computer Name tab.

4. Write that down to be remembered.

5. Close this window.

6. Find the folder that contains what you want to share with the other computer.

7. Right click on that folder and scroll down to 'Sharing and Security...'.

8. Put a bullet in 'Share this folder'.

9. Whatever is put in for 'Share name' by default should work OK. Remember this.

10. Click on Apply, then OK.

11. You now have that folder shared out from that machine.

Now, move to the computer you want to move the files over to:

1. Remember that Computer Name tab? You'll need that here.

2. Click on Start->Run, then \\ (yes, two left-leaning slashes in front of the computer name.)

3. This should pop up one of two things. Either a window that shows you a bunch of file shares, including one with the name of the folder you shared out, or will ask you for a username and a password. If you log into your computer with a username and password, you will want to use the same here.

4. This should show you a window now with the folder name that you shared out previously. Double-clicking this will get you to the files you want to grab.

5. Right-click on the folder and click on 'Map drive' or something to that effect.

6. Now you'll get to choose what drive you want to make the share. I generally map shares in a reverse order, starting with the Z: drive and going backwards. Once this is mapped, it will automatically pop another window open.

7. Now you have a drive on your system called the Z:\ which is the folder on the other system. You'll be able to copy and paste files back and forth like it was a drive on your computer.

8. Drag-and-drop, copy-and-paste, whatever you want to do to copy them over from the old machine to the new.

You know how to get ahold of me if there's any question.

2nd Father's Day Card

This was a very pleasant surprise. Of all the people I expected to get Father-to-be cards from, Jon wasn't exactly high on my list. I'm very pleasantly shocked and honored that he'd think about that. That, and I'm a bit of a sucker for Winnie The Pooh stuff, so he hit it spot-on. When it comes to kids' stuff, Winnie the Pooh is the end all winner for me. Sesame Street follows a close second. =)

I'm off to go hang out with Pops for a while. Time to smoke his arse in some billiards.

... anyone who knows my Dad would be laughing out loud at this point in the reading...

Happy Father's Day

It's my day to brag a little. Got this this morning from the little lady and thought you all would appreciate a look.

Happy Father's Day to all those out there that are or are going to be. It's a different world, that's for sure.

Now, off to see Erin's Dad for a little while, then hang with mine this evening.

Tool - 10,000 Secrets to The Artwork

For the Tool fans out there:

There is supposedly thousands of secrets within the album cover and the album music itsself. See this site: http://www.aberdeen-music.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35677.

That being said, once you read this thread, come back here and download this: Wings For Marie (10,000 Secrets Mix) . From that, you can judge for yourself.

(There's a pop in the middle where the two songs are fused together. I thought about editing it out, but I figured I'd put the two together exactly as they say. I didn't want to change anything about it as to vary the experience. Subjective, but when I did try, the songs seem to get out of sync. As it sits now, I think it works with little interruption. YMMV)

Edited: Here's the edited version. I spent a little bit of time trying to get a good sync. Sounds as close as a guy with one deaf ear can get.

Edited again: Whoops. That's the stereo version. You'll want to sample the mono version, now properly posted.

How NOT to steal a Sidekick

If you weren't aware of it yet, the 'Net has been ablaze with this story. Internet vigilantism at its very finest. Proof that you don't have to be smart to be a criminal. That, and don't f*&^ with computer nerds. They'll humiliate you on a WORLDWIDE scale.

Just a small amount of payback for getting beat up in gradeschool.

I Hate Computers

I moved to Apples for one major reason. They just work. What I hate is the fact that I, like all my customers, am just as prone to harddrive failure as the rest. And I, like my less knowledgable patrons, am reluctant to spend money on a resolute backup procedure.

And here I am, d*$# in my hand, 1 in the morning, staring at a dead PowerMac and cursing the light of day.

I hate harddrives. You'd think a harddrive that's SIX YEARS OLD would last another six.

That's sarcasm. I should've been smarter than that. I'm just thankful I didn't have anything of consequence on the machine. Makes me leary of this laptop harddrive. I'd probably pop a hole in my skull with a small caliber handgun should I lose this harddrive.

Which makes me think about the fact that I haven't backed up since Feb 16. Hmmm.

This is just to blow off some steam. If I don't deal with this tonight, it's going to be Monday before I can do anything with it again.

Night. I'll be up for a while.

I am the Mini Golf Champ!

I kept telling them I play too much Putt Putt on the computer and that I couldn't be beat! They just failed to heed my warning.

(Truth be known, had Erin not choked on the 17th hole, she would have smoked me by four. Instead, I pulled it out with a big win at the very last. Very Chiefs-esque.)

Mix Master

Well, I thought, since we're creating new life together, that I'd start with this:

...and see what I ended up with. The results are less than appealing, but so damn funny I had to post them.

First, the Jesus. Proof that I may, actually, be fathering the Anti Christ (Complete with beard):

or, even better, the Janene Garafelo look (complete with beard...just kidding...):

Enjoy these while they last; I suspect the moment Erin gets wind of these, they'll be coming down.

Hello Weather Pixie

I've missed you so.

I had long since forgotten about her, but she's back! On the right side, a little ways down, is the age old weather girl who never loses her 8-bit luster.

That, and it's a slow Saturday afternoon in the 'hood and I haven't posted here in a while.

Best Conversation EVER

[18:07] icepick2137: Something I have been developing in my mind, thought maybe I would present it to you and when you have the time might read it
[18:07] *** Auto-response sent to icepick2137: I am currently idle.
[18:07] icepick2137: I have some things on my mind and I feel you and your sister would be the only ones to understand what I'm saying so i'm not going to bother posting it on xanga, I will just tell you directly. Heres my pinch of philosophical thoughts I have been piecing together. Ok Jesus was nailed to a cross to forgive us for our sins so now we look at the cross as a turning point in history when we became forgiven for the ages to come and we wear the cross around our necks and look at it as a symbol of love and good. Heres where I am tied, the cross was used to torture criminals and kill them, it was sign of punishment and hatred. Also people say God gave us his ONLY son to save us, but people have been saying for all time they are the sons and daughters of god...
[18:07] icepick2137: oops
[18:07] icepick2137: igonre the first part, sent it to a friend of mine as well
[18:08] icepick2137: forgot to not copy that part
[18:08] thegrio: Good.
[18:09] thegrio: That's a hell of an observation.
[18:09] thegrio: I like it.
[18:09] icepick2137: its been bothering me for a while now
[18:10] thegrio: You're beginning to understand the hypocrisy of religion.
[18:10] icepick2137: one of the reasons I claim to religion, none are correct
[18:10] icepick2137: no religion*
[18:11] thegrio: I will say this: it's all in faith, bro. It's all in faith. I've found some semblance of faith as of late, and it has been encouraging, but everyone's path is different.
[18:12] thegrio: I'm encouraged that you're thinking about that, because that means you have the faculties about you to ponder and really analyze it. I salute you.
[18:12] icepick2137: Your too kind
[18:12] thegrio: Well, it's a new side I haven't seen. I'm excited to be able to know about that part of you.
[18:13] thegrio: I'm not trying to insult, I'm trying to encourage.
[18:13] icepick2137: I am aware
[18:13] icepick2137: I am smiling
[18:13] icepick2137: ;)
[18:13] thegrio: Forget religion for a moment.
[18:14] thegrio: Do you believe in a greater presence than yourself that may have influence on this world?
[18:14] thegrio: And don't use the word "God"
[18:14] icepick2137: I believe something is in control, there is too much order and balance in the world for it to have just resulted from an explosion
[18:15] thegrio: Amen, brother.
[18:15] thegrio: So, is it a malevolent or benign being that is in control?
[18:16] icepick2137: benign?
[18:16] icepick2137: run that by me again
[18:16] thegrio: good or evil
[18:16] icepick2137: ah see
[18:16] icepick2137: thats where im tied
[18:18] icepick2137: if "God" is supposed to be a great loving being, then why does he allow the "Devil" to cause suffering and tyranny upon the people?
[18:18] icepick2137: or otherwise known as the children
[18:19] thegrio: See, that's where I have issue.
[18:19] thegrio: I don't believe there is a devil.
[18:19] thegrio: I think WE are inherently evil.
[18:19] icepick2137: I dont think i would just sit by and let my kids get beat up and spit on by some asshole, if you understand me.
[18:20] thegrio: Ok, how you put that made me crack up.
[18:20] thegrio: That's AWESOME.
[18:21] icepick2137: To every effect there is a cause and to ever action theres an opposite reaction
[18:21] thegrio: Although, if you believe in balance, then the evil is necessary to counter the good; how would we ever know good if we never knew evil?
[18:22] icepick2137: Point well taken
[18:22] icepick2137: you cant live without dieing
[18:22] thegrio: which, to me, is stupid.
[18:22] thegrio: Why CAN'T I live forever?
[18:22] icepick2137: Guinia Pigs
[18:23] icepick2137: Were all one big expiriment
[18:23] thegrio: entropy
[18:23] thegrio: well, in a sense.
[18:24] icepick2137: Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy
[18:24] thegrio: Have you read it, or just watched the movie?
[18:24] icepick2137: Do you think what was conveyed in that movie is applicable
[18:25] icepick2137: ?
[18:25] thegrio: That's was a book from the 70's before it was a movie
[18:25] icepick2137: I know
[18:25] thegrio: and the movie, no, but the book, yes, conveyed that well.
[18:26] thegrio: Douglas Adams has that kind of sarcastic mindset, though, so it's conveyed in the writing.
[18:27] icepick2137: Im not suggesting mice run the world
[18:27] icepick2137: but
[18:27] icepick2137: How the were expirimenting on us, maybe not mice, but would you believe we are a sort of expiriment as I said before
[18:27] icepick2137: they*
[18:28] icepick2137: there are several ideas i have seen that are improbable but could make sense
[18:29] icepick2137: how earth is a virtual reality tv show for a more advance race, or an expiriment, etc
[18:29] icepick2137: Everything is a well oiled machine
[18:29] icepick2137: everything runs off of something else
[18:30] icepick2137: you could look at a human and a man made robot and they are one in the same
[18:31] icepick2137: well i have babbled long enough
[18:31] icepick2137: I need to leave now, I work at 6:45
[18:31] thegrio: No, I'm listening. It warms me to think that you're pondering this stuff.
[18:31] thegrio: Call me some time if you have thoughts or ideas.
[18:32] icepick2137: Will do
[18:32] thegrio: Have fun at work.
[18:32] icepick2137: I love you bro, im glad we could share thoughts
[18:32] thegrio: Where are you working, anyway?
[18:32] icepick2137: i feel like we bonded
[18:32] icepick2137: caraway auctions
[18:32] icepick2137: I present what is being sold to the buyers
[18:32] thegrio: doing what?
[18:32] icepick2137: 10 bucks an hour
[18:32] thegrio: ahhh, so you're a Barker Beauty
[18:32] thegrio: =P
[18:33] icepick2137: Im more attractive and fashionable than them though
[18:33] icepick2137: ;)
[18:33] icepick2137: lol well I gotta leave
[18:33] thegrio: night bro
[18:34] icepick2137: I bid thee adieu
